Event Details
The World Food Championships (WFC) is the premier food sport competition globally. This multi-day, live culinary event showcases some of the world's best cooks competing for food, fame, and fortune across ten categories: Bacon, Barbecue, Burger, Chef, Dessert, Live Fire, Rice, Sandwich, Seafood, and Vegetarian.
Each year, thousands of teams vie for a coveted Golden Ticket at 800+ official international qualifiers to earn their spot at WFC. Since its debut in 2012, the event has attracted participants from nearly 40 countries and every state in the U.S.
WFC is Food Sport’s version of March Madness. With a pinch of the Olympics, and a heavy dose of the Super Bowl. With a $450,000 prize purse, this is not for the faint hearted; the heat in Kitchen Arena is intense. Fueled by Cheferees, 20 contestants per category and an unforgiving clock counting down the seconds. More than 300 teams, comprised of 1200+ culinary champions, compete over multiple days at the main event.
