Drums, flats, and a whole lotta flavor! This new culinary contest challenges competitors to craft original wing recipes — sauce and all. Creativity is key, and judges are hungry for bold, unexpected takes on this fan-favorite dish.

Saturday, August 16 at 12:00PM on the Culinary Arts Stage
Contest Rules:
- Entrants must bring 8 wings with sauce and a typed recipe (8 ½ x 11) that includes the wings with sauce ingredients and measurements and preparation steps to the Culinary Arts Department by 11:30 am and follow the fair’s entry guidelines. [Enter Gate 1 and pull up to the southwest corner of the Indiana Arts building and drop off your food. We will take it to the Culinary Arts department, and you go to park elsewhere.
- To enter, create your own unique recipe for wings with sauce. Bring the Wings (Drums & Flats) with Sauce in a crockpot and a disposable plate/bowl for the wings with sauce to the Culinary Arts Department. No home-canned ingredients are permitted in the product.
- Contestants of any age are welcome to participate; limit one entry person.
- Recipes become property of the Indiana State Fair with rights to edit, adapt, copyright, publish and use without compensation.
Judging Criteria:
- 75% - Taste and Flavor
- 25% - Texture and Consistency
