Our Staff in the Community

The Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center is dedicated to offering opportunities for our staff to be involved in making a difference in the community and becoming civically engaged individuals. Below are our organization-wide initiatives. We also seek to support the work of our staff on their own time as we learn more about their passion for a wide variety of civic contributions.

Community Harvest Days

On October 10, ISF&EC staff had the opportunity to go out into the communities that surround the Fairgrounds to assist our neighborhood partners! Thank you to Meridian Kessler, Mapleton Fall Creek, United Northeast Community and Watson Park for allowing us to serve you!

Lilly Global Day of Service

On September 27 our staff worked alongside 120 Eli Lilly employees for the Lilly Global Day of Service! We are thankful to this great organization for giving us the opportunity to help better our Fairgrounds and our community!

Coburn Place Lemonade Stand

On Friday, July 20, the kids of Coburn Place held their annual lemonade stand to raise money for new school shoes and school supplies! ISF&EC staff took a break from Fair planning to visit our neighbors and support their cause!

Employee Sock Drive

Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center staff held a very successful Sock Drive in the winter of 2018! Wheeler Mission, Coburn Place and MorningLIght, Inc. benefited from this collection that was delivered in February. In addition, clothing from the Garage Sale held at the Fairgrounds was shared with Wheeler Mission, Morning Light and Dress for Success.
