Indiana State Fair Foundation
For more than 160 years, the Indiana State Fair has been a gathering place for all Hoosiers. A place where rural meets urban. A place where people from all walks of live come together for 17 days every August to celebrate Indiana, learn about Indiana Agriculture, be entertained, and eat the amazing “Fair food” we all crave.
The Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center has been the home of the Great Indiana State Fair since 1892, but is also host to more than 300 other events throughout the year, including the Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show, the Indianapolis Home Show, the Indiana Flower & Patio Show and the Mecum Spring Classic Collector Car Auction, to name a few.
More than 2.5 million people from all over Indiana, the nation and the world enjoy the events held at the Fairgrounds each year. The Indiana State Fair Commission, the quasi-governmental agency the oversees the Fairgrounds, has been entrusted with preserving and enhancing this treasured institution for the benefit of all citizens of Indiana.
To that end, the State Fair Commission created the Indiana State Fair Foundation in 2011 to support agriculture education, youth development and campus stewardship of the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, and annual Indiana State Fair.
More specifically, the Indiana State Fair Foundation raises funds to philanthropically support the Fairgrounds in three key areas – preservation and enhancement of the facilities and infrastructure, youth education through The Barns Global Learning Initiative, and recognition of youth participating at the Indiana State Fair.
We ask that you consider a donation to the Indiana State Fair Foundation to help us continue to operate a world-class event facility, promote and educate about agriculture, and produce the best state fair in the country, the Great Indiana State Fair.
Giving Happens Here. All Year.
